Bird[outofthe]cage

So I’m in the middle of a 9 month wandering season. In fall 2013 I’m planning to go on staff at YWAM Los Angeles and until then I will be in a different city almost every month. 

All that to say. With my vagabond life as it is, I decided to start to capture what’s happening and putting it here:

When I looked at you, I saw a man with a fireplace. 

Well built, correctly built, beautifully built. After all, you had spent years building it.

But inside not a single spark.

Don’t worry sir, it will come, I see that. You want it, so it will come. And when it does your fireplace can sustain it.

I’ve seen others that have a shitty fireplace, quickly thrown together because they are more excited at the fact that they have a raging fire. But my friend do you know what happens when these people do not build or rebuild the fireplace as you have? 

A poorly built fireplaces results in a room full of smoke. And in some cases, the house house actually burns down.

A ship without a sail goes nowhere.

But a ship without a rudder goes where it should not.
